Greetings!

There's no lesson today.

Just something to share - a free software called Slickrun.

This software runs on Windows, and opens a small window at a corner of your screen.

Now what Slickrun does is it allows you to type in some abbreviations (they called it MagicWord) you define yourself, and it does the pre-defined action.

This is extremely useful if you run certain applications or visit certain websites regularly. It has saved me lots of valuable time from re-typing in those commonly used URLs, or running certain applications which require more than a few keystrokes.

Examples:

I defined "ads" as the Magicword for going to Google Adsense site (which I visit very regularly). I simply type in "ads" in the small window and the software launches my Internet browser, and goes straight to Google Adsense login page.

Or you can type "mail", and it opens up Microsoft Outlook mail application.

Or you can use the system functions, to shut down your PC or get it to screensaver mode.

Or you can combine a few functions to launch simultaneously by entering the MagicWord you defined.

I'm still having fun fiddling with Slickrun to find new ways to use it to maximize my limited time, so that I can focus on my income-generating online activities.
