There is nothing that beats a day of fishing as far as fun goes. It's a terrific stress buster. The best sport in the world for me, is bass fishing, no doubt about it.
Bass fishing can be so low key and have such a calming effect on your soul; but it can have your heart pumping with excitement in no time. There's no doubt how relaxing bass fishing can be; but you must be aware at all times as you simultaneously kick back and wait for the fish to do their thing.
Many pros and cons exist when you are talking about bass fishing; there is no middle ground in liking or disliking it...some folks just love it from the very beginning and others abhor it. It's an all or nothing kind of thing.
There is a lot more to bass fishing than meets the eye. Excitement, exhilaration; words that describe how you feel when you finally have a good sized largemouth bass on the line fighting for his life.
Now we have come to a point where it would be a good idea to give some thinking toward which area of bass fishing holds the most interest for you; do you prefer largemouth fishing, smallmouth fishing, or striped bass fishing? For whatever reason, folks who love bass fishing seem to prefer a certain kind of fish over another, but you don't need to fish one kind only.
After you learn the different species of bass that are out there to be fished for, then you find out just how many different ways there are to fish for the bass; like surf fishing, fly fishing, or fishing from a boat.
Boat fishing is definitely the number one preference for bass fishing in the minds of most bass fishermen. It's hard when you are just starting out in bass fishing, to know if you would be a good fisherman from a boat; but the best way to find out would be to get hooked up with a like minded group of bass fishing people and go out fishing with them.
Joining a bass fishing party is a smart move to learn about the sport. Get rid of your fears that are holding you back when it comes to bass fishing from a boat, and get in with a party of bass fishermen who can show you and teach you all you need to know to get your feet wet.
