6 Quick Steps To Building Niche Websites

Step 6d : Market your website

d) (ii) Where To Get Private Label Articles - Private Rights Articles

Marketing using articles is one of the most effective method to promote your website or products.

There are several ways to get private label articles (where you have the right to claim as the author):

  • You can write your own, if you are familiar with the topic
  • You can hire a ghostwriter (e.g. http://www.elance.com) for between $5 to $25 per article
  • You can purchase private label articles

I personally prefer the third option, for it frees up my time as well as getting value for money. If you get in bulk, it can cost you as little as 15 cents per article.

The flip side is you need to spend a little time to customize the articles, so that it looks different from the other marketers who buy the same articles. I'm not too concerned about duplicates, as a majority of marketers will get the articles, but will not actually use them or publish them, for reasons only they will know.

I've been a member of a few private label article membership sites, but now am down to just one: Private Rights Articles by Paul Kleinmeulman (see D below).

For the purpose of comparison, here are my experience with other sites:

A) Your Own Articles by Cody Moya

Although you can get 250 articles and 5 reports per month, I have reservations about the quality of the articles. The articles seem to be written in a hurry, and the basic formatting is missing in many articles. I needed to spend time just to reformat so that they are readable.

Membership is capped at 1000, which in my opinion is too many for comfort. You'll end up with a high chance of too many people being authorship to the same articles.

B) InfoGoRound by Bryan Winters

This site used to be just a collection of ghostwritten articles, as well as articles contributed by members who will get their membership waived for that month if their article is approved.

The topics are varied, so it was difficult to find enough articles to fill one niche topic. Another point of contention is the terms that you have to remove these articles from your websites once you cancel your membership, unless you pay a one-time licence fees of $67 (used to be much higher which kept many people from joining in the first place).

Since Oct 2005 they have added private label products and niche article packs of about 200 articles per month. But these do not come with keyword lists, which is an important aspect of article marketing.

C) 100 Articles by David Hooper

This site started in Dec 2005, and provides 100 articles in various niche per month. The number of articles vary from 10 to 25 articles per niche.

Like "Your Own Articles", the articles are of average quality, and some reformatting is required.

D) Private Rights Articles by Paul Kleinmeulman

This is by far my preferred membership site for private label articles. Membership is capped at 500.

The niche articles are usually in packs of 50 articles per niche, providing 200 articles per month. The quality of the articles are commendable, and little reformatting is required.

For each niche, there is an accompanying keyword list containing about a thousand keywords for that niche. This is a definite plus point, as you can use the keywords to optimize each article before publishing. The keywords are sourced from WordTracker (based on Google and Yahoo figures), which is definitely a more accurate source than Overture.

A header graphics file (in psd format) is also included, for people who wants to create little niche websites with the 50 articles per niche.
